Help move the sold out Yeasayer show @ Black Cat in DC from the backstage to the mainstage

Courtesy of Brian at New Media Strategies...due to some confusion over advance ticket sales for the backstage at the Black Cat in DC, it seems that a number of disappointed fans are out of luck as the Yeasayer and MGMT show scheduled for tomorrow night (Wed 16 Jan) has sold out.
Contributors over at BrightestYoungThings have done the legwork, contacting both the venue and the band, in attempts to have the show moved to the mainstage. Admittedly at the 11th hour, BYT are encouraging fans to contact the Black Cat and Yeasayer to request the stage upgrade. You can get all the details here. And, for those of you on Facebook, there's even a Facebook page supporting the cause.

p.s.--those of you unable to score tix for the DC show, come on down to Chapel Hill and catch Yeasayer and MGMT @ the Local 506 Thursday night (17 Jan).
UPDATE:
It seems the "interweb" (thanks to Patrick @ Coterie for letting me rip the term) is quite aflutter with supporting the cause...check out what others have to say...

UPDATE2:
Seems the movement didn't fall on deaf ears. Fans didn't get the mainstage this time, but according to Yeasayer's manager, Sir. James Winnie, a newly added April show will offer fans the opportunity to join a "secret society" that will get a pre-sale email w/ link to purchase tix before they go on sale to the public.
